Hello Members!
Two years went by fast, and we are already up for election voting again. We will be holding a combined general meeting and election meeting on February 25, 2022 at 6:30, at the Silver Spur John Wayne Room. All chamber members welcome to attend.
At this time, we the Troy Chamber of Commerce, are requesting anyone who is a current chamber member and in good standing, who would like to serve a 2 year position, to put in a letter of interest. According to bi-laws, they can be either via U.S. Postal Service at above address or emailed also at above address as both are considered “mail” and must be received no later than February 11, 2022 at 5pm.

Ballots will be mailed out via U.S. Postal Service to all current members by February 16, 2022.
Completed member signed ballots must be received by 5 pm via mail or email on Feb 25th, 2022, or received at the election meeting by 6:30 call of order on February 25, 2022.
Current positions opened are: 3 Board of Director seats
President
Vice President
Secretary
Treasurer

Board of Director will oversee the annual business plan in January and set budget in September. The board of directors may fill vacancies due to the resignation, death, or removal of a director or may appoint new directors to fill a previously unfilled board position, subject to maximum number of directors under the Troy Chamber of Commerce bi-laws. (a) unexpected vacancies, vacancies in the board of directors due to resignation, death, or removal shall be filled by the board for the balance of the term of the director being replaced. (b) filling previously unfilled positions. Each director appointed by the board between the annual meeting of membership to add a director to a previously unfilled board position shall stand for election for the balance of the term with the slate of candidates presented to the membership for election under these bi-laws.
President: official spokesperson for the organization, represents the Chamber to the Community, represents the business and professional leaders in activities, and serves as a liaison between the chamber and external entities. Presides at and sets the agenda for meetings of the board and membership.
Vice President: In the absence of the President, performs those duties, works with committees and plans for the future of the Chamber.
Secretary: Keeps the meeting minutes, maintains board and membership directories, confirms attendance, and determines quorum.
Treasurer: Receives funds, makes deposits, makes payments, accounts for funds, provides reports, obtains annual audits, maintians non-profit status, and manages taxes.
